Easy Halloween Decorations: Cheesecloth Ghosts
This Halloween decorating project is a perfect mix of art and science. Mix the light and airy texture of cheesecloth with the stiffening property of starch, and the results are a real scream! These supernatural spirits can stand on their own, or be hung from the ceiling to create a really eerie effect.

Materials:
Cheesecloth
Liquid Starch
Form (we used a balloon and a milk carton)
Spray Bottle
Black Marker
1. Create a form using a milk carton and a balloon or foam shapes from the craft store.
2. Drape a layer of cheesecloth over your form and spray with the liquid starch until the material is saturated. Using a spray bottle keeps the mess to a minimum. Repeat until you get the desired effect. The more layers you drape over your form, the more ghostly your creation will be. Allow 24 hours to dry and then remove from the form.
3. Create a face with a black marker
Happy Haunting!
