Looking for the best things to do in Miami and South Florida this weekend? Here are some great family-friendly events and activities to add to your schedule.

The presents have long been opened and ornaments have been stored away for another year. It's 2026 in Miami and South Florida, and we at Mommy Poppins say the fun is just beginning.

This weekend, South Florida families can enjoy musical diversity at the South Beach Jazz Festival or the Free Friday Drum Jam at the South Florida Center for Percussive Arts. The circus is in town as Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey bring the Greatest Show on Earth to the Kaseya Center in Miami, while Plantation hosts its annual Great Campout.

Young builders will want to check out the Junior Galaxy Explorer Competition in Fort Lauderdale, while younger kids might want one last chance to party with the pups of Paw Patrol at the Museum of Discovery and Science before they head back to Adventure Bay for good.

For even more weekend inspiration, check out our South Florida Activities Calendar, which is updated regularly with the best Miami and South Florida happenings for kids and families. As always, if you have an event we should check out, feel free to e-mail us. Don't forget to bookmark this page and share with a friend.
