Looking for the best things to do in Los Angeles this weekend? Here are some of our favorite events and activities to add to your list this weekend

The forecasts are predicting sunny weather for this weekend in Los Angeles, and with that, America's weathercaster Al Roker brings his new PBS Kids series, Weather Hunters, to the Natural History Museum. The Year of the Horse has arrived at Disney California Adventure, so prepare to fill your belly with Disney spins on bao, tteokbokki, japchae noodles, phở dip, milk tea, and more. Don't forget to pose with Minnie and Mickey in their Asian-inspired outfits!

Kids can be entertained by Bob Baker's latest show, Hooray LA, dance up a storm at Debbie Allen Dance Academy's Dance Free Day, or watch AMA Motocross riders race for the finish line at Angel Stadium in Anaheim.

Looking for the best things to do in Los Angeles this long MLK weekend? From parades to civil rights activities and more, here are our top picks for Martin Luther King Jr. weekend.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is 'What are you doing for others?'" MLK Day of Service events, such as Big Sunday's 14th Annual MLK Day Clothing Drive & Community Breakfast and the LA Works MLK Day Volunteer Festival 2026, give families a chance to spend a day giving back in honor of Dr. King's memory and in support of our fellow Angelenos.

Looking for the best things to do in Los Angeles on New Year's Eve weekend to ring in 2026? Here are some events and activities to add to your list for this holiday weekend.

Get out your party hats, folks; it's time to celebrate making it through another year. When celebrating New Year's Eve with little ones, a daytime countdown like Noon Year's Eve at the Discovery Cube LA is the way to go. The New Year's Eve fireworks of Marina del Rey's New Year's Eve Fireworks + Glow Party are timed to both 9pm and midnight.

For me personally, nothing beats New Year's Eve at Disneyland for greeting the New Year with joy. And to start 2026 in the most Southern California way possible, grab a spot on Colorado Blvd to watch the Rose Parade usher in the new year with a cavalcade of flower-strewn floats: this year's Grand Marshall is LA's own Magic Johnson!

Merry Christmas weekend, folks! The gift to us all in 2025 has been the abundance of activities to enjoy in Los Angeles, including holiday festivities, light shows, Nutcrackers, and theme park celebrations everywhere you turn. A few suggestions that'll make spirits bright over the Christmas weekend: many theme parks are open on Christmas Day, like Holidays at Disneyland Resort, so there's still time to catch these holiday favorites before they're gone for the season.

This weekend is also your last chance to ride The Southern California Polar Express Train Ride, or walk through the twinkling lights of Holiday Road Walk-Thru at King Gillette Ranch and Santa Anita's Enchant Los Angeles.
