The height of summer is also the height of activity, as there are numerous fun events on tap for Westchester families. Unique to summer is the Annual Firefly Festival, and summer is a great time to learn a new skill like Animation Design. Kids can also enjoy a meet-and-greet with animals—ranging from bunnies to hedgehogs to toads and even worms.

The fire-eating and sword-fighting antics at A Night on Fire are sure to dazzle, and who doesn’t love the Big Apple Circus? Community Day, for one, is a town-wide celebration featuring food, performances and presentations by emergency-service personnel. Meanwhile, you can journey through time or around the world at Colonial Day or the Greek Food Festival, respectively, or enjoy a Cultural Arts Day or Summer Family Festival.

Several events this weekend also raise funds for good causes, including a Strawberry Festival, the Holy Rosary Church Annual Bazaar and SunriseWALKS.
