Looking for the best things to do in Miami and South Florida this Memorial Day weekend? Here are some family-friendly events and activities to add to your list.

Memorial Day weekend recognizes those who have made the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of our nation. Up and down South Florida, the region remembers those patriots at solemn observances, including in Coral Springs, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach Gardens, and Sunrise.

But while we remember our fallen veterans, Memorial Day weekend is also the unofficial kickoff of summer in Miami. So take time to remember our heroes and then have some fun with the family. You can start at the Great American Beach Party, where Fort Lauderdale's oceanfront transforms into an all-out celebration. The Hyundai Air and Sea Show is a South Florida tradition, and don't overlook the weekend-long music celebration in Wellington.

Celebrate with all of Boca Raton at the Centennial Celebration Weekend Drone Show on Saturday, or at the Deering Estate all weekend long.
