Best Attractions for Kids at the LA Auto Show

Adventure Rides: Forget everything you think you know about test driving a car! At the LA Auto Show, you’re in the passenger seat–with a professional driver behind the wheel–and the road is actually an obstacle course. Don’t miss these roller-coaster-like Ford Bronco and Jeep rides again and again and again. Just note that kids need to be at least 44 inches to participate.

Video Games and Simulators: As you explore the show, keep an eye out for high-octane racing and driving simulators–many exhibitors and automotive manufacturers bring them along. Dave & Busters will also have a collection of classic arcade games serving up fun for all ages.

Pet Adoptions: Yes, in addition to cars, you’ll find some of the sweetest adoptable rescue dogs at the LA Auto Show! Both Subaru Loves Pets and DoVE Project will be on-site with pups from a number of local rescue groups. Get in some snuggles or consider giving one of these furry guys a really good home.

Dream Cars & Custom Rides: Explore jaw-dropping dream cars in Showcase Hall, check out amazing custom builds and tricked-out rides in The Underground, and discover rugged off-road vehicles in the OVRland Outpost—fun for kids and families around every corner!

SoCal Car Culture Exhibit: Don’t miss Hall of SPARQ, an interactive exhibit celebrating LA car culture. Older kids will love the chance to check out Formula 1 machines and iconic vehicles from movies and video games, like Fast & Furious and Need for Speed. You’ll also find interactive displays and unique behind-the-scenes experiences.

Celebrity Appearances: Look out for some familiar faces! A number of professional athletes, drivers, and automotive influencers will be making appearances at the show–and they’ll be ready for autographs and photos with adoring young fans.

Collectibles & Ride-on-Cars For Kids: Head to The Underground, where kids can ooh and ahh over Burning Rubber Toy Company’s enormous selection of diecast collectible cars and vehicles–just be prepared to consider letting your kiddo take one home to add to their personal stash. Pint-sized drivers can also visit Mini Motorz to browse, test drive, and–if they’re lucky–even purchase the electric ride-on kiddie car of their dreams.
