Looking for the best things to do on Long Island this Christmas weekend? Here are some awesome events and activities for kids to add to your list for Christmas 2025.

From stunning light displays to family-friendly experiences that feel like stepping into a snow globe, there’s something for every holiday mood on Long Island.

Bundle up and wander through LuminoCity Fantasy Winter Fairyland at Eisenhower Park and take in the twinkling sculptures against the winter sky. Or, check out Candlelight Evenings at Old Bethpage Village Restoration for a storybook Christmas stroll featuring lantern lights and carolers.

And, if you need a break from Christmas events, dino-obsessed kids will love the Center for Science Teaching & Learning's Dinosaur Carnival.
