Holiday Model Train Exhibit at Town of Babylon History Museum
- see all dates
If your little conductors can’t resist a choo-choo, this annual favorite is a must-do! The Town of Babylon History Museum and the Babylon Town Historical Society are once again rolling out their 240-square-foot interactive model train display, complete with miniature versions of historic Babylon landmarks. Kids can marvel at the trains as they zip through tiny towns—and grown-ups will love spotting familiar places in pint-size form.
The exhibit is totally free and open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from December 5, 2025 through January 4, 2026, from 12pm–3pm. It’s the perfect low-key afternoon outing to add to your holiday season.
The museum itself is a gem-housed in the historic Old Town Hall, built in 1918 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. While you're there, check out the local history exhibits and even take a peek inside the old Town of Babylon Police Department jail cells (always a kid-pleaser!).
It's stroller-friendly and handicap accessible via the ramp at the rear entrance along Cottage Row. There is no admission fee-just bring your curiosity and train-loving crew!
