Looking for the best things to do in Connecticut this Veterans Day Weekend? Here are some family-friendly events and activities to add to your list for this weekend.

This weekend Connecticut families can honor and thank American veteran's and attend one of the many ceremonies and celebrations going on. The Veteran's Day Celebration in New Britain will be presented by the Iwo Jima Historical Foundation, and the Stamford Veteran's Day Parade & Ceremony will take place on Sunday, Nov. 9.

This weekend has some special events for fans of Pokemon! All the "trainers" can attend Pokemon Day at CT Science Center, where kids can enjoy a Pokemon scavenger hunt, trade cards, dress up, and more. Additionally, this month is a celebration of Native American Heritage, so this coming weekend there will be a special Native American Heritage Celebration at Stepping Stones Museum, with hands-on activities, indigenous folktales, and Native American history.

Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram so that you won't miss any of the fun. Have a great weekend!
