Nestled just south of Atlanta, Peachtree City is the kind of place that feels like it was made with families in mind. With its charming small-town vibe and modern amenities, it’s a community where front porches still matter, neighbors know each other by name, and kids can safely ride bikes to school, or better yet, take a golf cart! Peachtree City, Georgia is famous for its 100+ miles of paved multi-use paths, perfect for walking, jogging, and yes, cruising around in golf carts (a favorite pastime for families). Peachtree City offers a wide range of family friendly activities and endless memories —it has a small town feel with a big heart for tradition and local events!

Where is Peachtree City, GA?

Peachtree City, Georgia is located about 35 miles south of the City of Atlanta. This suburban paradise is nestled in Fayette County, the largest city in that region.

Things to Do in Peachtree City, GA

1. All Children’s and Picnic Park

This adorable playground has an ideal setting behind the public library. With various play areas for kids of all ages and abilities, families can picnic by Lake Peachtree and play for hours. It is one of our favorite spots to stop before heading home in the evening. It is also a great place to view the fireworks on the Fourth of July and the Night Markets through the years.

2. Beaver Dam Park

Beaver Dam Park feels like one of those hidden gems only the locals know about. It's perfect for kids who need to burn off some energy or when you want to have a laid-back family picnic. We have spent many afternoons here enjoying a packed lunch.

3. Village Green Frisbee Golf

If you’re looking for something fun, simple, and outdoorsy, Village Green’s 9-hole disc golf course is a hit with all ages. You can borrow discs from the library or bring your own. Kids love running around and aiming for the baskets, and it's easy to walk the course with them.

4. Line Creek Nature Area

This is one of our favorite spots when we want to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with nature. With over 70 acres of trails, woods, and even a cool creek, Line Creek is where we go to slow down. Hike, sit by the water, and listen to the birds —it’s peaceful and good for the soul.

5. Cedar Hill Flower Farm

Cedar Hill Flower Farm is pure magic. Pick your own bouquet (kids love choosing their favorites), take beautiful family photos, and enjoy the breeze while walking through colorful rows of flowers. 

6. Glenloch Splash Pad and Recreational Complex

Whether your kids are into skating, soccer, or just want to cool off in the splash pad, Glenloch has it all. My daughter takes dance here and my son tried out karate — the rec classes are such a great bonus!

7. Peachtree City Farmers Market

Head to the Peachtree City Farmers Market on Saturday mornings for a great start to the weekend. Try handmade pastries and fresh veggies, and meet local farmers and artists who make this community shine

8. Splatterdash

If you have a creative kid (or you're a creative mom), Splatterdash is a must! This walk-in paint studio requires no reservation. We’ve had birthday parties here, rainy-day painting sessions, and mommy-daughter art dates.

9. Air Base Georgia Museum

Get a taste of history at this WWII flying museum. The planes, the history, the occasional vintage dance demo—it’s such a cool experience. Keep an eye out for airshow weekends—they’re unforgettable.

10. The Fred Amphitheater

Check the Fred's calendar to see what concert/performance will be playing in the outdoor concert pavilion. One of the best summer memories we’ve made is dancing under the stars at The Fred. Enjoy tribute bands to comedy nights, and everything in between for a great family night.

11. Rent a Golf Cart

Honestly, the real Peachtree City experience is riding around in a golf cart! With over 100 miles of scenic paths, it’s how we get to parks, restaurants, and even school. There are several rental places (Big O’s, 3 Guys, Golf Rider, etc.) if you're visiting. 

12. Battery Way Park and Boat Ramp

This little lakeside spot feels like a mini vacation. Kids love splashing in the water and hanging on the swings. There’s also a small dock that’s perfect for sunset watching with peaceful, quiet vibes.

13. Mastermind Escape Games

Mastermind Escape Games is such a fun pick, especially for older kids and teens! We’ve gone a few times for birthdays, rainy days, and even just a spontaneous weekend adventure, and it never disappoints.

14. Tiny Feet

Tiny Feet is a toddler zone and one of those rare places that feels like it was designed straight from a mom’s heart. Little tikes can run and play freely inside while you watch on, knowing your little one is safe.

15. Royal Lanes Social

Duckpin bowling was a total game changer for my kids. It’s like standard bowling's adorable little cousin but with smaller balls, shorter lanes, and no heavy lifting or finger holes to wrestle with.

16. The Avenue Peachtree City

On the corner of highway 74 and 54 sits a beautiful shopping center filled with shops and restaurants. With 48 shops and restaurants, one can find anything at The Avenue...including fun family events.

17. Kedron Village Shopping Center

Need groceries, clothes, or a quick dinner? Kedron has everything in one place, and it’s super convenient for busy families.

18. Downtown Senoia

Just a short drive away, Senoia is charming. It's full of history, cute shops, and if you’re a Walking Dead fan, you’ll love the filming tours. The downton boutiques and restaurants make for a fun day trip.

23. Partners Pizza II

A local pizzeria that was born and grown in Peachtree City. The Partners Pizza II pies are delicious, and the restaurant is super family friendly!

24. TCBY

After a long hot day, golf cart over to The Country's Best (frozen) Yogurt shop. Try the tasty flavors of TCBY frozen yogurt (including the dairy-free options) and build your own frosty creation with tons of toppings.

25. The Flying Biscuit

This quaint, little restaurant offers breakfast and lunch, but if you love a good brunch, this cozy spot is perfect. The biscuits and grits? Heaven!

26. Mike & C’s Family Sports Grill

Mike & C's is a great place to watch a game and have a family dinner. The kid’s menu is awesome, and the atmosphere is fun but not too loud.

27. Palmer’s

Perfect for a date night or when you want something a bit more upscale, Palmer's is warm and welcoming. The fried green tomatoes are my personal favorite!
