Halloween season is a fitting time for a guided tour of the historic Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, the resting place of the author of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." Opt for a daytime tour or a nighttime tour lit by kerosene lamps. 

If you want to visit Washington Irving's grave, opt for a weekday tour. Tours are available on two weekends in September and daily in October and November. 

Tours last one hour. Timed-tickets are available on a limited basis.

Note: Visitors may not exit during the tour except for a medical emergency.

Tickets must be purchased in advance. Sales benefit the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery Historic Fund.
