Trunk or Treat events are as popular as ever these days. Communities gathering together, thinking up wild decorations to match the theme, and kids having a safe space to collect candy. Plus, lots of Trunk or Treat events are accompanied by other family-friendly festivities—bounce houses, music (a scary organ concert, anyone?), Halloween games, not-so-spooky movies, and even food. October is finally here, and this weekend has plenty of ways to enjoy it. Celebrate Asian culture this weekend by checking moon festivals in McKinney and Plano, or the 18th Annual Mid-Autumn Festival in Grand Prairie. If you're counting down the days to Halloween, kick off the season with a family-friendly spooky movie at PGA Frisco or in downtown Dallas at Harwood Park. If you want to go all-in on the fall season, the Original Pumpkin Day celebration at Dallas Farmers Market or the Murphy Maize Days Cornival are a must.
