Garden City Park Playground Reopens With Splashy New Play Areas

Garden City Park in Nassau County has debuted a new, interactive playground experience at Broadway Park. The playground recently underwent a massive renovation, and its reopening has delighted the community. Families with younger and older kids can enjoy the completely renovated play space, along with an awesome splash pad.

My kids had a blast exploring the new equipment, games area, and of course, cooling off in the sprinklers!

A visit to Long Island's North Fork is always a treat, and a stop at one of the local flower farms is a perfect summer adventure for the whole family. Horton's Flower Farm in Mattituck is a cute, interactive spot for nature-loving kids who appreciate flowers. My kids had a blast at their first experience hand-picking flowers on the farm, and they can't wait to pick more beautiful bouquets soon!

The Nassau County Museum of Art  houses an excellent collection of art from the 1800s and 1900s on a pretty wooded preserve.

A family visit to the Nassau County Museum of Art on Long Island is a creative way to inspire a love of art, architecture, and nature in kids of all ages. Art-loving kids and their families will enjoy touring the stunning, historic art museum and seeing the exhibits on display. My kids were also excited to see the incredible outdoor space as we walked the short distance to the museum building from the parking lot. 

From vibrant paintings to famous photography to a breathtaking outdoor sculpture garden, this museum offers kids an up-close and personal immersion into different types of art. The museum also boasts a colorful art and education center on site with classes for adults, kids, and special art-themed family events. My kids love creating art and exploring new places, so they were excited to venture out to this art-inspired experience for the afternoon.
