Halloween Celebration at the American Museum of Natural History
Join the sharp-toothed T. rex and towering Titanosaur at the American Museum of Natural History for a Halloween Celebration of prehistoric proportions. Candy-hungry trick-or-treaters of all ages are invited—if they dare—to a day of not-so-spooky festivities beneath the iconic Blue Whale in the Milstein Hall of Ocean Life.
From festive larger-than-life games and interactive crafts to live performances, face painting, and treat stops throughout the halls, the Museum offers a Halloween Celebration where costumes are encouraged and curiosity is welcome.
Highlights of the Celebration include:
- Museum-wide treat stops
- Hands-on crafts, including an opportunity to decorate a treat bag
- Exciting live performances from magician Magical Monty
- A chance to get up close and personal with creepy-crawlies during live animal demonstrations
- Costume contests for different age groups, with winners selected throughout the day
As an added treat, the Museum hosts complimentary screenings of the classic Halloween film Hocus Pocus at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm in the LeFrak Theater. Screenings are available to all Museum visitors, including visitors attending the Halloween Celebration.
