Discover the museum after dark before drifting off to sleep underneath the blue whale or surrounded by other beloved museum exhibits. From flashlight tours to hands-on activities, scavenger hunts, group games, and more, this unique and unforgettable program is designed to spark wonder.
Highlights of the sleepover experience include:
- Guided flashlight tours of the Museum’s third and fourth floor exhibition halls, including the legendary fossil halls where towering dinosaurs like T. rex are on-view
- Self-guided explorations of the first and second floor galleries of the Museum, including the stunningly lifelike dioramas of the Akeley Hall of African Mammals and live insect displays in the Susan and Peter J. Solomon Family Insectarium
- Trivia games, scavenger hunts, and group games in the Gilder Center
- Complimentary bedtime snacks and a light breakfast
- Karaoke, live presentations, a bedtime story, and more!
Plus, every explorer who attends A Night at the Museum receives a commemorative keepsake and a voucher for future admission.

Tickets for the first three sleepovers go on sale on September 30 for members, October 7 for non-members.
