Mommy-and-me classes are the absolute best because not only will your little one have a chance to learn something new, but you'll be able to spend quality time with them and meet other parents (a total bonus). If you're having a hard time picking a daddy-and-me or mommy-and-me class, we've rounded up a few of our favorites. Not only are they engaging for both you and baby, but most of these classes have locations all over DFW, making it even easier to get out of the house for a little fun!

Parent-and-Me Music Classes in Dallas-Fort Worth
Music Together
This iconic music class has been around for ages—and for good reason. The class curriculum has roots in both child development and music education, and it’s just plain fun! Great for children from 0-8, there are several locations in DFW, including Dallas, Richardson, Plano, Grapevine, and McKinney
Kindermusic
Another popular mommy-and-me music class, Kindermusic breaks its classes down by age so that each one is perfectly designed to help kids of that age learn and grow through music. Foundations (0-18 months) focuses on sound exploration, listening activities, and dance to help babies and toddlers develop their communication skills and strengthen their motor skills. Level 1 (1-2 years) helps toddlers explore movement, echos, and more. Level 2 (2-3 years) introduces instruments and encourages older toddlers to express their creativity through music. The classes continue up through age 7, and there’s even a mixed class for siblings!
Creative Soul Music School
There are six locations of this music school in DFW, including Southlake, Keller, Fort Worth, and Lewisville. They offer a weekly bonding class for caregivers and kids ages 0-3. They’ll learn skills like pitch and tempo, language development, memorization, gross motor skills, and even math, all while movin’ and groovin’.
Mommy-and-Me Swimming Classes in Dallas-Fort Worth
Emler Swim School
It’s never too early to get baby comfortable in the water, and a mommy-and-me class is a great way to start. There are nine locations in the metroplex, and each one offers swimming lessons for 2 months-3 years. It starts with bonding in the water and moves to learning Emler’s trademark “jump, turn, swim” methodology. By the Level 3 class, your kiddo will have learned advanced skills like kicking through the water and independent rescue.
Aqua Tots
There are 13 Aqua Tots in DFW, and they all offer Tadpoles (4-12 months) and Minnows (13-30 months) classes for babies and their caregivers. Babies will learn to be comfortable in the water and bond with their caregiver.

Spanish Schoolhouse
They say it’s never too late to introduce children to a new language. This immersive mommy-and-me class is for babies ages 12-24 months and includes stories, art, games, music, and movement. It’s a 10-week class offered in the fall and spring at 13 different locations in DFW.
The Little Gym
There are 10 Little Gym locations in DFW, and they offer classes just for babies ages four months and up. Infants will enjoy gentle movement, sensory play, and caregiver bonding in the “Bugs” class, and babies will gain mobility and develop balance and coordination in the “Birds” class.

Dallas Museum of Art - Arts District
This wonderful institution has several art classes for babies and their caregivers. Art Babies is for 0-24 months and includes stories, singing, and introducing babies to the world of art. Toddler Art is for ages 2-3 years and is perfect for curious kids. They'll explore the galleries and then create their own version inspired by what they've seen. Arturo's Art & Me is for ages 3-5 and involves kids and their caregivers listening to stories, looking at art, and playing games in the galleries before creating art of their own.
Dallas Contemporary - Design District
This under-the-radar museum in the Design District has a designated time just for parents and strollers. Take an educator-led tour of the current exhibits, followed by storytime and age-appropriate activities. For children ages 24 months and under.
Amon Carter Museum of American Art - Fort Worth Cultural District
This fantastic family-friendly museum has several mommy-and-me art and play classes! Itty-Bitty Art introduces art to babies up to 24 months with multi-sensory activities and explorations. Toddler Studio introduces art through playtime to kids ages 2-3 years, and Carter Playdate focuses on families connecting to art through storytime, hands-on activities, and experimental art making.
