Looking for the best things to do in Miami and South Florida this Martin Luther King, Jr. Day weekend? Here are some family-friendly events and activities to add to your list this weekend!

The year is barely three weeks old and already we have a three-day weekend in Miami and South Florida. MLK weekend means three days of great family fun in the region, where families can celebrate the contribution of the holiday's namesake—Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.—at parades and celebrations in Deerfield Beach, Miami, Pembroke Pines, Tamarac, and elsewhere. 

Families can also take part in a National Day of Service in the spirit of the legendary civil rights leader.

Elsewhere, enjoy a taste of sweet treats at the South Florida Strawberry Festival in Boca Raton. The South Florida Fair begins its run in West Palm Beach, and for those who just can't say goodbye to the holiday season, check out the Museum of Ice Cream's Pinkmas exhibit before it closes on Sunday.
