In this free, drop-in workshop,Getty Villa visitors can create their own perfume inspired by an ancient recipe from Pylos, in southern Greece. 

Participants build custom perfumes by exploring the spices and oils favored by the Mycenaeans, some of which are still in use today, and discover how these materials were applied in antiquity.

Workshop dates:
Saturdays:  October 18 & December 13, 2025, January 10, 2026

Sundays: September 21 and 28, November 16, 2025

Family programs are always free, and do not require a ticket. However, the Villa requires a timed-entry reservation. Please note, there is a fee for parking.
