The Great Train Show features hundreds of tables of trains and accessories for sale, huge operating exhibits, and free workshops and demonstrations. There is a free test track for attendees to test-run their trains at the show.

The show is open to everyone — the general public, modelers, hobbyists, families, and the just plain curious.

Extra activities for kids include a riding train, a Thomas the Tank Engine bounce house,  and games.

Show hours are 10am - 4pm, Saturday and Sunday, at the Ventura County Fairgrounds & Event Center.
