Cabrillo Marine Aquarium celebrates Echinoderm Appreciation Week! 

First step in appreciating echinoderms ... is knowing what they are. Echinoderm species include starfish, brittle stars, sea urchins, sand dollars, and sea cucumbers, as well as the sea lilies or "stone lilies". Now you know!

During Echinoderm Appreciation Week, CMA visitors can learn more about these amazing marine animals, including their important role in California's coastal ecosystem, how they eat and other fascinating echinoderm facts.
