The Long Island Game Farm serves as a new venue site for a concert series this summer. Surrounded by the natural environment of The Long Island Game Farm, the Songbird Sessions features original music from local singer-songwriters and national touring artists.

The Songbird Sessions take place Saturday evenings on the new outdoor Susan M. Novak Stage. Each performance will be prefaced with a welcome introduction of Game Farm animals. Pre-show capybara encounters will be available for an additional fee, purchased in advance. Dining is available by Castaway Catering. The Songbird Sessions Schedule:

  • June 7 6-8 pm: Jack Licitra’s Blue Light Club Blues and Jazz with The Blue Light Club featuring Danny Kean, Rorie Kelly, Jack Licitra, Gianna Volpe and an amazing 7-piece band. 
  • June 21 6-pm: Voices Carry Performed In-The Round with Singer Songwriters Rob Bruey, Julia King, and Rorie Kelly with Host Fred Raimondo. 
  • July 12 6-pm: Heart & Soul Performed In-The Round with Singer Songwriters Bryan Gallo, Sarah Gross, and Inda Eaton with Host Fred Raimondo. 
  • July 26 6-pm Brady Rymer with The Rising Stars: Three-me Grammy nominee Brady Rymer, with a bevy of rising teenage songwriters from across Suffolk County, sharing their songs and experiences for a family friendly event. 
  • August 9 6-pm: Adam Ezra Group Hailing from Boston, Adam Ezra Group’s unconventional approach to the music world has allowed them to surge beyond their beloved hometown and emerge as one of the most uniquely powerful, underground live music experiences in the country. Ezra’s current line-up featuring Corinna Smith on fiddle, Alex Martin on drums, and Poche Ponce on bass. They have been creating a new buzz around the country opening with The Wallflowers, Galactic, John Oates, The Wailers, Southside Johnny, Graham Parker, and America. 
  • August 23 6-pm: From Montauk to Nashville Performed In-The Round with Singer Songwriters Chloe Halpin, Toby Tobias,and Lori Hubbard with Host Fred Raimondo. 
  • September 13 6-pm: Patty Larkin & Lucy Kaplansky Patty Larkin - A visionary in contemporary folk music, Patty Larkin is celebrated for her masterful guitar playing, soulful vocals, and poetic lyricism. Her latest project, Bird in a Cage, transforms poetry from celebrated writers and poet laureates into hauntingly beautiful musical pieces. Lucy Kaplansky - A beloved singer-songwriter with a voice that blends warmth and clarity, Lucy Kaplansky has been a fixture in the folk and Americana world for decades. A founding member of the folk supergroup Cry Cry Cry, her music is deeply personal yet universally resonant, often reflecting on themes of love, family, and connection. In January 2025, Lucy released her tenth album, The Lucy Story.
