Actors inhabit a carefully crafted, three-dimensional environment created and built by Gateway's Haunted Playhouse renowned design and production team.  Dozens of professionally trained actors prepare and rehearse each character that inhabits the haunt. They have special themed nights for glow sticks, zombies, clowns and more.

2025 dates: Opens September 26-27 (reduced rate of $25), October 3-5, 9-12, 15-19, 22-26 and 28-November 1. October 28: less scary, no monsters from 6-9pm ($30).

Special events:

• October 15: Zombie Apocalypse. Zombies invade the haunted house!
• October 16: Hollywood Horrors. Featuring your favorite Hollywood horror characters!
• October 22: Clown Invasion. Maniacal madcap clown masquerade!
• October 23: Glowstick Night. Only a single glowstick to guide you through the haunted house - no lights!
• October 28: Much Less Scary. You will walk the same path through the Haunt with no actors in any rooms. This is the perfect day for those who have always been too shy to experience Gateway's Haunted Playhouse! (6-9pm $30)

The “Fear Garden” is open every night, and offers beers on top, and a selection of bottled beer and wine for guests 21 and older. They also serve soft drinks and snacks. A food truck is also present on select nights.

Younger children are invited to attend the Not So Scary Adventure for Kids, which takes place on weekends October 11-12, 18-19 and 25-26.
