Step back in time and celebrate love, creativity, and a little maritime magic. Families are invited to the Vanderbilt Museum for a Mini Valentine’s Craft Event inspired by Sailors’ Valentines - beautiful keepsakes exchanged in the 19th century by sailors and their loved ones.

These intricate designs, traditionally made with tiny shells arranged in symmetrical patterns, often featured hearts and sweet messages like “Remember Me” and “Forget Me Not.”

NOTE: Located in the Education Center/Historic Garage. Children under 12 must be supervised by a parent or guardian. There is no registration for this activity.
