This week, we give a bid farewell to a busy April and say hooray for May! Seasonal outdoor adventures continue this week with the Cape May Spring Festival, Lunch & Learn with a Naturalist and Splish, Splash! Monday, April 27th
Central NJ:
Lunch & Learn with a Naturalist (Pennington)
Kids are invited to spend an educational lunchtime at Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association where nature lessons and a hands-on activity with accompany lunch. Kids 5-10 should bring a bagged lunch to the event.
Northern NJ:
Mini Music Mondays at Maxwell’s (Hoboken)
Rock out to the music of Dave and Dana from the popular Fuzzy Lemons band, voted one of NJ’s favorites by Mommy Poppins. A different family-friendly music group is featured every Monday at Maxwell’s.

Cape May Spring Festival (Cape May)
The springtime festivities continue throughout the week in beautiful Cape May, with trolley tours, chocolate tasting, crafts, exhibits and other fun events.

Stop by Pottery Barn Kids every Tuesday for a free and fun story time. Your child will receive a free gift after attending five events. Don’t forget to do a little shopping while you’re there. FREE

Makerspace Wednesdays at Small Factory (Fair Haven)
Young scientists can create their own tabletop hovercraft at this week’s makerspace session. Every Wednesday focuses on a new project. Preregistration is required.

Storytime at Clark Barnes & Noble (Clark)
Barnes and Noble of Clark is a great place to keep the tots busy on Wednesdays. Drop by the children’s department for story time; then spend some time at the train and Lego tables. There’s a Starbucks too. FREE

Splish Splash (Basking Ridge)
Splish, splash, the kids may need a bath after this fun hike at the Great Swamp. Make sure to wear rain boots on this adventurous search for signs of life on the trails. Recommended for kids up to 5.

Happy Tree Planting Day (Allentown)
The Garden Club of Allentown hosts this horticultural event at the Allentown Public Library, in honor of Earth and Arbor Day. Activities include crafts and seedling giveaways. FREE

Twinkletots Planetarium Show (Lincroft)
You’ll be seeing the stars at Monmouth Museum’s weekly planetarium show, enhanced with songs and stories.
