It was a perfect day! The skies were bright blue and crystal clear. The sun shone hot - drawing huge crowds to the waterfront. The South Street Seaport in and of itself, is a lovely place for a summer Sunday. The shops are varied and street performers abound. The Shark Boat crew was friendly and funny and the ride is fast paced and WET!! In the short span of half an hour we passed the Statue of Liberty, the waterfalls and a few lesser known New York points of interest, such as the Colgate Clock. After the ride we enjoyed a picnic lunch on the waterfront and then strolled around the shops, ending at the famous Strand Bookstore. Thank you Mommypoppins! It's not often that we find an outing that will appeal to both our younger and older children alike!

I migiht have to go over to the  Seaport and ride the Shark boat with my kids today. It sounds so fun and my daughter's been begging to go for ages. HAPPY LABOR DAY, EVERYONE!
