The Saturday before Easter Sunday, families can bring their pets to be blessed. This centuries-old tradition, blessing the animals for the benefits they provide mankind, has been celebrated in the Plaza since 1930. All pets are welcome.

The blessing takes place from 2pm - 3pm.  Line to receive blessing begins at 1pm and is in front of the Pico House on Main Street.

While the blessing is rooted in Catholic tradition, you do not have to be Catholic to participate. All animals, and humans, are welcome!

* The Blessing of the Animals takes place the Saturday before Easter Sunday.
