Connecticut's Halloween displays range from family-friendly to super-scary. With all the participating neighborhoods, it would be impossible to fit them all in. But using readers suggestions and our own spooky research, we have chosen some of the best CT Halloween decorations for 2025! Looking for lots of displays in one area? Check out these towns and cities: Plainville, Milford, Berlin, Brisol, Southington, and Naugatuck.

1. Sanford Lane - Gigantic, Fun Display
Stamford
Scare Level: One (not scary)
This is a massive display with not-your-typical displays, like a HUGE spider's nest, a pumpkin tree, and plenty of inflatables. You can walk around inside the display too!
2. Tapping Circle - Two Words: Pumpkin Archway
Milford
Scare Level: One
This yearly display is well established and deserves a visit! Walk the lit up archway to get up and close to the display. What is caught in the huge spider web this year?
3. Buttery Road – A Drive-by Fit for Young Ones
New Canaan
Scare Level: One
Buttery Road is a big drive-by display, with some moving exhibits. Take your time as you go by. Characters you'll see may include the Stay Puff Man, Werewolf, skeletons, ghosts and Jack Skellington.
4. Interlaken Road - Super Creative and Family-Friendly
Stamford
Scare Level: One
It's beautiful in a spooky, Halloween sorta way. There is so much creativity, with flying ghosts, a cemetery, witches, and even Halloween florals!
5. Datura Avenue - Packed Display Featuring Inflatables
Milford
Scare Level: One
All blow-ups, this is a a front yard display. It is well-lit with tall, creepy characters like pumpkins, ghosts, the Reaper and an entirely blown up cemetery!

7. Sterling House of Screams, Sterling Road - No Display in 2025
Trumbull
Scare Level: Two (moderately scary)
Run by the Roldan Family, it's well-attended every year. The family pulls out all the stops for this annual exhibit. It changes every year and creates a real sense of community.
6. Almost Midnight - Kids Will Love It
Fairfield
Scare Level: Two
This spot has won several awards, and the 2025 theme is PIRATES! Pirates in tubs, pirates in jail, and pirates manning the ship!
8. Haunting on Hearthstone - Scary and Popular
Shelton
Scare Level: Two (possibly three)
This is a large display with great props and lighting. This display embraces the scary side of Halloween (maybe live actors...we can't tell for sure...).
9. Banks North Road - Jam Packed with Things to Look at
Fairfield
Scare Level: 2
This place is making the news! Tons of moving, talking characters saying all the scary stuff you love this time of year. It's a teeny little road and this home-wner has filled both sides with lots to look at.

9. Blue Orchard Drive - Showmanship and Style
Middletown
Scare Level: On3
This one's a massive display! So much effort goes into this annual show that runs nightly through Halloween. See a mock up cemetery, colorful lights, and craftsmanship all put together and set to music by Aaron Greco. The show is synchronized with 91.5 FM. No tickets required; see the display from the road.
10. Blohm Street - Creative and Detailed
West Haven
Scare Level: One
This display features mostly skeletons, like a fun skeleton rock band; there's a collection for the local animal shelter, so bring a donation.
11. Savin Avenue - Colorful and Different
West Haven
Scare Level: One
The super cool decorations include dragons, a huge pumpkin guy, and skeletons, all with hauntingly beautiful lighting.

12. OSC Holiday Shows - Entertaining and Fun
Meriden
Scare Level: Two
The whole house becomes a backdrop to the silly shenanigans being projected onto the front. Nightly shows (weather permitting) run throughout October.

13. Laurie Lane - Very Kid-Friendly

Scare Level: One
Not scary, just fun! You'll find mostly inflatables, including a really cool massive spider; make this one part of a night of enjoying Halloween displays.
14. Metacomet Road - Totally Amazing
Plainville
Scare Level: One
This is an enormous display that encompasses several homes. No jump scares here, just colorful, live Thriller dances; it's absolutely worth the drive.
15. Rt. 185/Hartford Road - Big props, fun
Simsbury
Scare Level: One
Check out a growing display that is gaining popularity in the area. In 2024, there was a Black Pearl replica, with real smoke and pirates galore.
16. North Main Street - Phenomenal Props
West Hartford
Scare Level: Three (because it's real life!)
Every year, this homeowner spends hundreds of hours creating his Halloween display that adds a little commentary. Years past included topics like war, freedom, and elections.
17. Edison Road - Creepy Moving Figures

In the fog, there are spooky moving skeletons, a replica cemetery, and eerie holographic projections.

18. The Halloween House on Tatnic - This One Includes Dogs!
Brooklyn
Scare Level: Two
This huge yard is filled with skeletons doing funny things: waving, creeping, and even posing as pirates. There are also dogs (some glow!), and smiling jack-o'-lanters. This display is a fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

We've rounded up some of the best Halloween-themed restaurant events in Connecticut for 2025. So if your plate is too full for neighborhood displays, check out these
20. Cava - Southington
A little fancy, with an amazing display
Well known for it's decorations, Cava is blowing it out again this year with their Hocus Pocus themed rooftop and the Wicked-themed restaurant decor. Make reservations to dine in the green-lit dining room (maybe near the Wizard himself?) or upstairs with your favorite triplet of witches! Have a several course meal with antipasto, mussels, or clams and then move on to your main course.
21. Dave's Planet Pizza - Norwalk
Affordable and easy
Looking for something relaxed like a pick-up pizza with a little spooky pizzazz? Dave's pizza is getting famous for their Halloween-themed pies in the shape of a ghost, pumpkin, and now a deep fried dough monster! The restaurant is taking pre-orders already!
22. 314Beergarden - Norwalk
Affordable and fun
This establishment is having a kid-centric event for the season - "Halloween Kids Jam" a costume parade, gift bags and of course treats. The menu includes pizza, sandwiches, panini's and more.
23. The Place 2 Be - West Hartford, Hartford and New Haven
Affordable (and scrumptious)
With four locations, you will need to save up your calories for this place. Splurge is a good word to describe the whole menu, but treats like Pumpkin Spice Latte, Maple Walnut Latte, and pumpkin pancakes (when available) will hit the spot.
24. Alice in the Village - Mystic
Quaint and creative
Step into Alice's world and get some amazing Fall treats to bring home or eat in. The Chesire Cat can tell you which one to choose or you can select from things like pumpkin and salted butter caramel macarons, Pumpkin Spice Latte's and more. And of course, there is the annual Trick or Treat in the Village on Halloween.
25. 1741 Pub and Grill - Middlefield
Great family restaurant for brunch
1742 hosts a lot of brunches for the holidays, but this year brings a Halloween brunch. There will be Halloween-themed foo and drink, and guests are invited to come in costume.
26. Transylvania Restaurant - East Haven
Affordable Romanian and American foods
This place waits all year for Halloween fun. Intrica decorated (down to the cutlery) and embracing the fun of the season,(for kids too) make reservations for this one! Yes, there is a Halloween event on the day itself, but the whole month is feelin' the spooky vibe. Menu offerings include Hell's Burger, Blood Martini, and the very ironic kids' menu.
27. Twisted Vine - Derby
Great price and a spooky time
This restaurant offers an annual Paranormal Dinner and Ghost Tour. If your kids are old enough to handle the fright, it's an affordable price for dinner AND entertainment. A buffet dinner will be followed by a tour in the building where you will hear all about the restaurant's paranormal history. Menu is vast and yes, there is a kids menu too.
