The best neighborhood Christmas light displays in Connecticut feature thousands of lights, stars, Christmas trees, cartoon characters and more. Many Connecticut neighborhoods go all out to create a flashy, bright and cheerful holiday light show, sometimes complete with music and not just limited to one house on the street. This truly is some of the most wholesome (and yes, FREE) family Christmas activity for the 2025 Connecticut holiday season. Besides that, many are collecting cash and non-perishable food items for local charities.

Best Neighborhood Christmas Light Displays in CT 2025 - Fairfield

1. Wonderland at Roseville — Fairfield

A popular destination, Roseville Terrace is a massive light show. See lit up trains, dogs, reindeer, snow men, as well as a Menorah and nativity. Donations will be collected for Shriner's Hospital. Hours run from Sunday to Thursday, 5pm to 10pm; Fridays and Saturdays from 5pm to 10pm. Last minute cancelations due to weather will be posted on the Facebook page.

2. Christmas in Milford — Milford

If you live in, or near, Milford, you will want to follow the Facebook group Christmas in Milford. Explore all the different houses (and there are quite a few) that decorate for the season. There is even a yearly contest for best decorations. Also, one location collects unwrapped toys in Santa's Mailbox.

3. Sterling Road —  Trumbull

The runway is open! Affectionately called "Santa's Runway," Sterling Road will be decked out with almost 12,000 lights. It encompasses all of Sterling Road, as well as two other cross streets. It's easy to imagine Santa landing on the lit runway! Follow the Facebook page to find out when Santa and the Grinch will be making visits.

4. Cribari Bridge —  Westport

Everyone loves driving over the beautifully decorated bridge. The kids will ask for you to go over a few times! It's also great for video and picture taking.

5. Mark Drive —  Norwalk

With 54,000 lights and synchronized music thisholiday lights display transitions from candy cane-themed to multicolored brilliance to a gorgeous Santa-worthy red. This display typically runs evening from 5pm to 10pm. 

6. Christmas Lane —  Stamford

Not a neighborhood home, but a neighborhood church! Bethany Church has made a new tradition of hosting Christmas Lane where you can rive through a live nativity, see the Grinch, and listen to carolers.

7. Lights on Rosewood — Bristol

Lights on Rosewood features stunning light displays for Christmas 2025! From Thursdays through Sundays, there is a synchronized song list available on channel 98.3 FM. The household behind this special light show is donating proceeds to a local family as the father battles cancer. Non-perishables donated will go to Brian's Angels.

8. 130 Felt Road — South Windsor

Tom Delnicki and his wife Audrey, put on a major display every year. Their holiday light display opens in mid-December for 2025. This is a drive-by-only show.

9. April and Mark's Cartoon Christmas — Plainville

This home has been decorated by the same family since 1938! This Christmas light display boasts a cartoon and character explosion of lights. It includes Scooby-Doo, the Island of Misfit Toys, inflated Santas, Teddy Bears, Minions, penguins, and much more. Bring a non-perishable food donation; last year, over 1,300 lbs. of food was donated.

10. Lights on Eastbury Pond — Glastonbury

The Danco family's annual light display is astounding; you might see Santa's elves or the Grinch! Lights are on from 4:45 to 10:30 until New Year's Day. The reflection in the water is one-of-a-kind amazing. 

11. Joshua's Christmas Display — Plainville

This light display is erected annually in honor of Joshua's mother. Enjoy rainbow Christmas trees, synchronized lights and music (on radio 92.9). Please bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Plainville Food Pantry.

12. Wethersfield Lights — Wethersfield

An organized, bright and merry neighborhood Christmas light display, Wethersfield Lights also has projections, multi-colored lights and some pyrotechnics. The display has two 20-foot light trees and 11,000 LEDS.  

13. WEHA Wonderland — West Hartford

A charity display, WEHA Wonderland accepts donations for St. Jude's. The unique display has LOTS of vintage-style statues including: toy soldiers, The Grinch, candles, and some really cool stuff you just don't see in the stores anymore. 

Best Neighborhood Christmas Lights on Houses 2025 - New Haven and Eastern Connecticut

14. Glow on Gallup — Waterford

This dazzling neighborhood holiday light display (set to music) has been running for 10 years, and changes annually. Come and see 9,000 lights twinkling along with a 3D Santa Claus, snowmen, tall arches, and more. The light show is open every night from 5-10pm. On December 9, there will be a collection of new, unwrapped toys for Waterford Youth Services.

15. Amarante's Winter Wonderland — Dayville

Open every other night of the week at 5pm (except Mondays), Amarante's is an amazing walk-through Christmas display of eye-popping, glittering lights. Every year, the Amarante's use their stunning display to raise money for charity.

16. Scrivano Christmas Lights — East Hampton

Tiffany Drive in East Hampton is the home of the Scrivano's light display. The Scrivano's collect food for the East Hampton Food Pantry, so please bring some non-perishables. This season opens on November 18, 2025 in honor of a family member. Follow them at @scrivanolights.

17. Michael's Light Show — Meriden

The Herbst Family's light show features thousands of lights set to music (104.5 on that FM dial). Michael's Christmas light display is partnered wiuth the Meriden Humane Society, collecting donations onsite (in a big Santa bag) and online to help the cuddly critters of Meriden during the hoiday season. The light show runs daily, from 5pm to 10pm.

18. Melodich Farms Christmas Lights — Sterling

While not a neighborhood home, it's a neighborhood farm and it's FREE. See how festive this family can be every year with HAY BALES. Hay bale snowman, hay bale elves and Santa too. This unique light display gives out some sweet treats too.

19. Sand Hill Road — Middletown

Two neighbors get together to turn their part of the street into an absolute Christmas bonanza with lights, lights, inflatables, statues, trees and did I mention...LIGHTS? Bring a non-perishable donation of food as their display is serving to help several charities.

20. Blue Orchard Lights — Middletown

The lights are already going up! Running from December 1 to the 31st every night, enjoy a classic light display with inflatables synchronized to 91.5 FM.

21. Quigley Road — Wallingford/Northford

A big house completely outlined in colorful lights and synchronized to local radio for music. Enjoy projections, lit statues, inflatables, candy canes, and a dancing Santa Claus. A neighborhood favorite.

22. Camputaro Christmas Lights - Griswold

A favorite of the neighborhood, this display is huge with big lit-up characters including Santa, Santa and his sleigh (in the air), Mrs. Claus, Gingerbread Men and so much more. You are encouraged to drive in and do a quick loop to see it all. There are easily two hundred installments in this display!

Insider Tips for Seeing Christmas Lights in Connecticut 2025

  • It gets dark earlier and earlier in Connecticut, get to these locations at dusk and be one of the first to see the lights go on.
  • While many of these light shows allow you to slowly drive-by, some require you to park in the street and enter the display.
  • Most of the displays you enter have space for strollers, if the snow falls or it rains hard, stroller access will be inconvenient.
  • Picture taking and posting on social media is usually encouraged
  • If the display is collecting for a charity, be a good sport and bring non-perishable food items or donate a couple of bucks toward their hard work.
