Quirky Free Museums that Kids Actually Love

Money Museum 

Turn money into a hands-on learning experience at the Money Museum, one of the Best Small Museums in Chicago. Kids can see rare currency, try interactive exhibits that explain how money works, and even take home a free bag of shredded cash as a souvenir. This unique museum, located in the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, offers engaging activities and, despite its name, is entirely free.

Smart Museum of Art

The Smart Museum of Art, located on the University of Chicago campus, is an excellent museum for kids because it offers a mix of whimsical, thought-provoking exhibits and hands-on activities that make art feel approachable and fun. The museum is free, and offers family-friendly programs, and plenty of space where kids can explore at their own pace.

Graceland Cemetery
