Lake Merritt turns into a lighted display of local art with more than 60 locally produced illuminated art displays on view throughout the eight-acre municipal gardens. 

The festival is a fundraiser for the gardens at Lake Merritt in hopes of preserving the beauty of nature through community and awareness.
