S.T.E.A.M. Halloween at Kennedy Space Center
- see all dates
Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex has entered the Halloween scene with its first-ever S.T.E.A.M. Halloween, where fantasy meets the very real magic of S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). This one-of-a-kind event ignites curiosity and excitement for all ages through hands-on activities and science experiments that are as educational as they are entertaining.
During S.T.E.A.M. Halloween, be sure to check out:
- Hallowed-themed science demonstrations and interactive experiments at the S.T.E.A.M. Team interactive carts (October 13 – November 2)
- Treat stations in NASA Central from local vendors
- Space-themed photo opportunities in your costumes
- Meet-and-greet with Jack Links’ Sasquatch
- Kids costume contest in the Rocket Garden daily at 1:00 PM
Plus, visit on Saturday, October 25, learn about dramatic weather events like lightening, hurricanes and storms straight from an expert. Greg Bennett, Spectrum News 13 Meteorologist, will share his knowledge and conduct some exciting experiments of his own. Understand the elements of a storm, S.L.I.M. (Shear, Lift, Instability, and Moisture), and how they come together and produce an explosive reaction. Catch Greg in Journey To Mars at 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
Treat Station Vendors:
- UCF-Ostem
- UCF- Students for the Exploration and Development of Space
- Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge (U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service)
- Merritt Island Wildlife Association
- MoonPie
- Space Coast Adventures Guild
- Jack Links
- Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex’s Knowledge Base 1
S.T.E.A.M. Halloween is included with admission. Costumes are encouraged, though face coverings, weapons, and weapon-like props are not permitted.
