Welcome, Nina, Our Newest Contributor!

If you knew Nina, you'd like her as much as I do. She's an old school New Yorker who grew up with an uptown dad and a downtown mom and seems to know every crack and trick of this city. Now she's learning it all over again as a new mom.

OUR LATEST VIDEOS

Hailing from Jackson Heights, Nina brings the voice of new mommies to Mommy Poppins as she is on top of all the latest baby finds. Plus she always knows the current baby and kids news thanks to her Bubbe who clips out all the articles and saves them for her. Hook us up, Bubbe! (For some reason I can't stand when my mom does that, but love that hers does. So, Nina, send me your mom's articles about child rearing and I'll send you my mom's incredible helpful clippings about outsider art in Alaska.) Nina's going to be a great addition to Mommy Poppins. I'm excited to have her on board!

About the Author

Anna Fader

Founder of Mommy Poppins

A fourth-generation Brooklynite, Anna started Mommy Poppins in 2007 to help families find the best things to do with kids in NYC, with a particular emphasis on sharing activities that are free, affordable, and enriching. The site, used by millions of families, has grown to become the ultimate resource for parents in the major US cities, plus travel guides for 100s of destinations.

Anna is a believer in the magic of summer camps, traveling with kids, and that you can raise kids on a budget and still have a rich life full of amazing memories. Anna's first Mommy Poppins book, The Young Traveler's Journal and Activity Book, published in 2025 and co-written with her daughter, Amelia Eigerman, brings that ethos to life, in addition to this website.
