Titled Fun Off the Ferry, the free pamphlet will be available at all East River Ferry terminals and in some partner businesses. It's not only a fun way to plan a day cruising the East River, but a great guide to all of the Brooklyn and Queens neighborhoods the ferry services. Each neighborhood has a map with details about places to play, things to do, kid-friendly stores and spots to eat. There are even listings for some of the best annual events for kids in each area.

The Fun Off the Ferry pamphlet is the first time we've done anything in print and I'm super-excited about it. It looks great thanks to Lindsay Giuffrida, the designer from McMillian + Furlow who put it together. I also have to give big thanks to Petek, our blogger who did most of the research to compile the lists and took the photos, and Raven for her awesome-as-usual editing. And, of course, a big, big thank you to the East River Ferry for inviting us to partner with them on this wonderful project.

I hope you'll have a chance to grab one of the pamphlets and check it out. I highly recommend planning a trip on the East River Ferry, whether you tackle a few neighborhoods in one day or just cruise down the river for the heck of it. It's a great way to cool off and I hear the ferries are bigger this year so they should feel less crowded. If you take a look at my original East River Ferry post, you'll see some of my favorites along the route, but there are many more highlights in the Fun Off the Ferry pamphlet.
