Paché Montessori School
Paché Montessori is a Montessori school in Cobble Hill serving children from infancy through kindergarten, with an optional Spanish Immersion track. Programs include Infant, from 3 months, Toddler, and Primary (preschool through kindergarten), in mixed-age classrooms where trained guides support independence, concentration, and care for the community. In the Primary years, academic foundations are built through daily, individualized lessons in phonemic awareness, handwriting, early reading, and number sense using sequenced Montessori materials such as sandpaper letters, the moveable alphabet, golden beads, and bead chains, alongside practical life, sensorial work, science, and cultural studies. The school’s name comes from the Italian word for peace, a value woven into daily practice.
What distinguishes Paché is the combination of a purpose-built environment and language learning integrated into a true Montessori program. The 25,000-square-foot campus includes two private outdoor areas (a rooftop playground and a second-floor terrace), and an indoor gross-motor room with a climbing wall, which together support movement and coordination in all seasons. Classrooms are bright and orderly and equipped with carefully sequenced materials that allow children to choose meaningful work, concentrate deeply, and progress at their own pace.
Spanish Immersion is offered in the Toddler and Primary years. Classrooms are led by Spanish-speaking Montessori educators who conduct the day in Spanish, enabling natural language acquisition while continuing the full Montessori curriculum. As children approach the kindergarten year, dedicated English literacy time helps them bridge skills across both languages.
Paché’s community commitments emphasize inclusion and respect for every family. The school articulates shared values, peace, empathy, justice, community, trust, development, and respect, and invites adults and children to practice them in concrete, age-appropriate ways. When it is time for the next step, the leadership team provides individualized exmissions guidance to help families identify well-matched ongoing schools and navigate the application process.
Taken together, these elements, academically focused Montessori practice, bilingual immersion within mixed-age classrooms, expansive indoor and outdoor spaces, and a values-driven community, offer a thoughtful, developmentally aligned start for young learners.
