HudsonWay Immersion School

HudsonWay Immersion School, a preschool–Gr 8 Mandarin and Spanish immersion school, provides an environment where young children learn the same academic content taught in other top private and public schools, but in two languages – English and Mandarin or Spanish.

Through a combination of academic rigor, small class sizes and full immersion, students consistently outperform monolingual peers on standardized tests while developing high levels of proficiency in a second language.

There are entry points for students without prior language exposure in the elementary years and at the start of middle school.  These students are on an accelerated language track, receive supplemental language support and become bilingual within one to two years.  This program is well suited for gifted students seeking challenges.

Students who complete the program through middle school are capable of achieving high levels on high school AP language tests and are eligible to receive the Global Seal of Biliteracy.. Approximately 90% of HudsonWay 8th grade graduates are admitted to their top choice independent school. For more information, see www.hwis.org.

Bus transportation from select neighborhoods is available.  Need based financial aid is available.
