Greenwich House

Greenwich House has been a cornerstone of arts and education in New York City for over a century, offering engaging, hands-on programs for children of all ages. From pottery and music to early childhood education, each program is designed to foster creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning in a welcoming community setting.

Greenwich House Pottery introduces children, tweens and teens to the joy of working with clay through wheel-throwing, hand-building, and sculpture classes led by expert ceramic artists. Kids can explore their creativity while developing fine motor skills, patience, and artistic expression in a professional studio setting. Families and adults can take one-time project based workshops for a more curated ceramics experience.

Greenwich House Music School offers a wide range of classes for young musicians, from early childhood music and art exploration classes to private lessons in piano, violin, guitar, voice, and more. With a focus on individualized instruction and performance opportunities, students can build musical skills at their own pace in a supportive environment. During the summer months, the Music School's private backyard garden is transformed into a playground for Summer Adventures, a half-day camp for ages 3-5.

Barrow Street Nursery School, a play-based early childhood education program, provides a nurturing space for children to develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills through hands-on, child-led learning. Located in the heart of Greenwich Village, Barrow Street fosters curiosity, independence, and collaboration in a warm, inclusive environment.

With a legacy of excellence in arts and education, Greenwich House’s programs provide the perfect opportunity for children to explore their interests, develop new skills, and engage with a vibrant creative community. Learn more online.
