Top Indoor Go-Kart Tracks in New Jersey

1. The Funplex – East Hanover and Mount Laurel

Atmosphere: Arcade-focused
Kid-Friendly Features: The Funplex is perfect for riders looking for a less-intense racing experience. Double karts are available. Passengers between 36 and 54 inches tall must ride in a double kart with a driver who is at least 14 years old and 54 inches tall.
Other Attractions: Funplex has a great water park that's open in the summer, plus bowling, an arcade, rides, and concession stands.
Good to Know: Visitors must buy a park admissions wristband to enter the facility. Wristbands include unlimited go-karting. Nab the best discounts on wristbands on weekday evenings.

2. iPlay America – Freehold

Atmosphere: Arcade-focused
Kid-Friendly Features: These go-karts are a great intro to racing. Single and double karts are available. Kids must be 4 years old and 36 inches tall to ride as a double passenger. Kids who are 10 years old and 56 inches can drive a single kart. Drivers of doubles must be 18 years old and 60 inches tall.
Other Attractions: iPlay has an indoor boardwalk with games, an arcade, and rides, plus bowling, laser tag, restaurants, a jungle gym, Top Golf, and more.

3. K1 Speed – Cinnaminson, Totowa (Coming Soon)

Atmosphere: Family-friendly and competitive
Kid-Friendly Features: Junior and adult karts are available. Junior racers must be at least 48 inches tall. Teen racers must be at least 58 inches tall to race the larger, faster go-karts.
Other Attractions: K1 has a snack bar with chips, candy, nachos, and drinks.

4. Monaco Indoor Karting – Berlin

Atmosphere: Family-friendly
Kid-Friendly Features: Monaco offers races at different speeds and skill levels. Junior drivers must be at least 10 years old and 48 inches tall to ride the slower-speed junior track. Adult drivers must be 56 inches tall for the adult track.
Other Attractions: Besides go-karts, visitors can enjoy roller skating, the arcade, and the cafe.

Kid-Friendly Features: Karts are single-seaters only. If kids meet the height requirement (which is at least 58 inches), drivers under 15 years old can use the semi-pro speed. Older riders can choose pro speed.
Other Attractions: This spot has axe-throwing (ages 10 and up), an arcade, two rides, and a restaurant that specializes in burgers, beer, and shakes.
Good to Know: Supercharged Entertainment has two tracks that are each over a quarter-mile long with 25 elevation changes. Reservations are recommended. All race participants must be at least 58 inches tall.

Kid-Friendly Features: Drivers must be at least 13 years of age and 60 inches tall for an “Arrive & Drive” race. Reservations are recommended.

Good to Know: Arrive & Drive is a 15-minute session. Parents of drivers under 18 must be present or provide their child with a notarized permission form and valid proof of age to register an underage child for a race.

8. The Mainland – Manahawkin

Kid-Friendly Features: Go-karts can race up to 20 miles per hour. Both single and double seaters are available. The height requirement to race alone is 56 inches. For double-karts, drivers must be 16 years old and passengers must be at least 4 years old and 36 inches tall.
