Join the New Jersey Wind Symphony for Tricks & Treats—a family-friendly concert packed with spooky, magical, and just plain fun music. Ridgewood’s own acclaimed soprano Kristen Plumley hosts the evening, guiding audiences through a program that blends classical masterpieces, favorite movie scores, and even live dance.

The program includes Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain and Dukas’ The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, as well as audience favorites from Harry Potter and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Dancers from Bergen County’s Nunnbetter Dance Theatre also takes the stage to bring Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet to life.

In addition to the music, there are fun seasonal activities for all ages. Families can participate in a coloring contest by downloading a picture, getting creative, and submitting their artwork by September 30 for inclusion in the pre-concert slideshow and a chance at prizes. Audience members are encouraged to dress up for a costume contest, with awards for the most creative outfits. During intermission, children and families can enjoy an instrument petting zoo, where musicians will be on hand to introduce their instruments up close.

This concert is the perfect night out for families, music lovers, and anyone looking to celebrate the season with thrills, chills, and spectacular live performance—all without having to head into NYC.
