Heal the Bay’s Santa Monica Pier Aquarium holds its annual Underwater Parks Day event, celebrating the implementation of Marine Protected Areas (known as MPAs) in Southern California.

Guests can enjoy crafts, explore the virtual exhibit “Underwater Treasure”, and experience wet and wild hands-on education with Heal the Bay.

Underwater Parks Day Schedule:

1:15pm: Under the Pier Tank feeding  

1:30pm: MPA short film screening with Q+A with MPA expert Crystal B 

2pm: Touch tank abalone feed and conservation presentation by staff member **(if kelp available)** 

3pm: Sea Star feeding and presentation by staff member
