KCRW Good Food Pie Day

This weekend at the Fowler, you can have your pie and eat it, too!
For the tenth year in a row, home cooks and professionals alike compete side-by-side to wow the judges. Guests can enter a pie (update: baker submissions at capacity), cheer on the competitors, visit the Fowler galleries for 2pm gallery talks, or just come by and enjoy a slice.
Good Food host Evan Kleiman presides over the afternoon pie festivities which include music by KCRW DJ Anne Litt and Garth Trinidad, pie tasting, kids’ activities, an artisan marketplace and more.
From 12-3 pm on Royce Quad, guests can experiment with two weaving techniques: collaborative loom weaving and paper bowl weaving. (recommended for ages 6 and up).
At 1pm, UCLA Near East Ensemble presents music and instruments from the Arab world, including a performance by master percussionist Souhail Kaspar. (Fowler Amphitheatre).
