Ever wonder how your favorite movies created realistic-looking wounds and gnarly make-up effects? Families are invited to explore the world of spooky transformations at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Community Day, an interactive, family-friendly program featuring artist-led activities for all ages.

Academy Governor and Academy Award-winner Howard Berger and museum educators peel back the bandages and dissect the artistry of effects makeup. Participants leave with a new skill and understanding of the tools makeup artists use for these transformations. The day features interactive workshops, live demonstrations, and spooky surprises.
