The Hammer Museum hosts its annual K.A.M.P. (Kids’ Art Museum Project) fundraiser, an event imagined by artists for kids and their families.

Painters, sculptors, architects, and creative types of all kinds lead inventive, hands-on workshops in the carefree atmosphere of the Hammer courtyard.

Museum K.A.M.P. also celebrates reading with story time. Celebrity guests engage families as they read from their favorite children’s books. This year's celebrity readers include former Dodger, current Angel Chris Taylor,  Justine Lupe (Succession,  Nobody Wants This), Carla Gallo (Platonic),  and author Stuart Gibbs, (Spy School and FunJungle series).

This year’s participating artists include: Daniel Gibson, Sharon Johnston and Mark Lee, Annie Lapin, Ryan Preciado, Rob Reynolds, Jennifer Rochlin, Mindy Shapero, Brooklin A. Soumahoro, and Christopher Suarez. The artists translate their practices into projects specially designed for kids

All children must be accompanied by at least one adult ticket holder, and all adults must be accompanied by at least one child ticket holder. (Note, as this is a fundraiser, the ticket price is a bit heftier than our usual calendar fare.)

All K.A.M.P. proceeds support the museum’s free Hammer Kids programming, which includes weekly offerings such as family workshops, Family Day, and Family Flicks.
