Snow falls as Santa Claus kicks off the holiday season at Santa Monica's official holiday tree lighting ceremony on Third Street Promenade. The annual event features performances by local choirs and a special performance of the Nutcracker,

After the ceremony, guests of all ages are invited to take free photos with Santa, make holiday-themed crafts, and enjoy hot cocoa. A DJ keeps the festivities going with a holiday dance party. 

All activities at the event are free and open to all ages.
