The Ward Melville Heritage Organization’s Annual Holiday Festival features celebrations, live entertainment, children's activities, a train and more. 

Activities include:

• The School of Rock Rock n’ Roll Choir at 1pm.
• St. James Junior Choir will perform at the Stony Brook Post Office at 1:30 p.m.
• At 2pm, Santa arrives to greet children and will be available for photos until 4:45pm Starting November 28, children can send their holiday wishes directly to the North Pole by mailing letters in the red “Mail for Santa” mailbox at the Stony Brook Post Office.
• Festivalgoers can partake in the WMHO Youth Corps’ Scavenger Hunt, where participants compete for Stony Brook Village Center gift certificates and other prizes.
• The festival’s signature Legends & Spies Puppet Procession begins at 2:15pm, parading through Stony Brook.
• A holiday performance from Roseland Dance Studio at 3pm.
• WALK 97.5 is at Inner Court from 2-4 pm, with holiday music alongside the Steppin’ Out Ponies petting zoo from 1:30 - 3:30pm.
• Explore the Holiday Tree Festival and cast votes for your favorite decorated trees from December 7 to December 22. Ballots will be available in all village shops and establishments.
• Enjoy the holiday train display in the window of Wiggs Opticians.
• The Celestial Singers Holiday Carolers performs throughout the village from 3-4pm. After 4pm, they perform at the Holiday tree until 5pm.
• The festival closes with a grand tree lighting ceremony starting at 5pm. Santa returns on a festive float, joined by local children, to light the holiday tree on the Village Green.
• The annual tree-lighting ceremony takes place at 5pm.
