St. Joseph's Day marks the annual return of the swallows to San Juan Capistrano. The mission's celebration is marked by pageantry, the traditional bell ringing at the sight of the first swallows, and a celebration with musical performances, tours, demonstrations, and food vendors.

Note that the celebration at the mission is not the same day as the Swallows' Day Parade this year.
