As mid-August approaches (already!), wet your appetite for summer fun at tasty outdoor weekend festivals, including Jersey Fresh Festival, Peach, Princess & Pirate Celebration and the sweet S’mores Galore. Enjoy creative and performing arts this weekend at Hub City Sounds and New Jersey Botanical Gardens’ Summer Craft Fair. Peach Festival (Robbinsville, NJ)
Load up on peach goodies, including peach pie, peach cobbler and grilled peaches, at this peachy Oasis Farms celebration. Wagon rides, crafts and a peach pie eating contest are on board for the kids. Reservations are recommended. Admission is FREE.
Peach, Princess & Pirate Celebration (Camden, NJ)
Don your favorite princess or pirate garb and celebrate the state’s favorite summer fruit at Camden Children’s Garden. Activities include crafts, a planting project and treasure hunt. Plus, taste some delicious peach recipes.
Festival of the Sea (Brant Beach, NJ)
A good time is a shore-thing at this carnival by the beach, held at St. Francis Parish and Center Grounds. Games, rides and raffles are featured, and unlimited ride bracelets are available.

Watershed Butterfly Festival (Pennington, NJ)
Witness the unveiling of Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed’s new butterfly house at a fun-filled event that includes children’s activities, music, an insect zoo, hay rides, the Butterfly and Bug Parade and even hot air balloon rides.
Hub City Sounds (New Brunswick, NJ)
Grab blankets or chairs and head over to Boyd Park for the premiere of this highly-entertaining performing and visual arts festival. Each week, local artists take the stage at parks and theaters throughout downtown New Brunswick. FREE
Summer Craft Fair (Ringwood, NJ)
The New Jersey State Botanical Gardens welcomes guests of all ages to explore the work of over 40 vendors, including jewelry, crafts, pottery and children’s items. Admission is FREE, but parking fees apply.

S’mores Galore (Tenafly, NJ)
Did you know there’s an International S’mores Day? Tenafly Nature Center marks this yummy holiday with a campfire and marshmallows to roast. Kids can create traditional s’mores or invent their own varieties with candy and cookies. Program is for children 5+, and pre-registration is required.
Jersey Fresh Festival (Vineland, NJ)
Rejoice in the Garden State’s agricultural pride at Giampietro Park, with live entertainment, crafts, kids activities and a produce auction. FREE
Flemington Comic Book Fest (Flemington, NJ)
Bring your comic book enthusiasts to Flemington Elks Lodge where comics, toys and non-sports cards will be on display. Plus, mingle with costume groups and over 20 guest artists. Kids under 12 are FREE.
