Olvera Street hosts its annual celebration of the festive Mexican holiday when families remember their ancestors and the continuity of life.

Festival-goers can enjoy a theatrical production of La Danza de la Muerte daily at 6pm, and a nightly candlelight Novenario Procession (Parade of Living Muertos) at 7pm. Community altars (ofrendas)  are on display for the duration of the festival.

On select weekend days, there is entertainment and face painting starting at 11am. (Fee charged for face painting).
