Boo on the Bayou: Celebrating the Port in Your Backyard at the Houston Maritime Center and Museum
This special event invites families from across Houston to enjoy a unique blend of Halloween fun and maritime discovery. The event will feature a variety of hands-on activities and entertainment for kids of all ages.
Event highlights include:
A Kids' Costume Contest, with a prize for the best nautical-themed look—mermaids, pirates, sailors, sea creatures, and more
A Bouncy Ship for energetic play
Face painting and a balloon artist
Firetrucks and boats available for kids to explore
The Kona Ice Truck serving up cool treats
Over a dozen interactive booths hosted by maritime industry partners
Free entry to both the event and the museum
