NESA @ The MATT: Learning From the Past
December 14, 2025 – March 8, 2026
The Mattatuck Museum is thrilled to partner with the New England Sculpture Association (NESA) for the juried exhibition NESA at the MATT: Learning from the Past. Open to members of NESA, this show encourages artists to reflect on their personal backgrounds in addition to larger histories of craft, politics, and identity. Learning from the Past situates contemporary sculpture within artistic practices ranging from ancient periods to those in recent memory. Featuring the work of artists from the New England region, New England Sculpture Association at the MATT: Learning from the Past is a celebration of the past, present, and future of sculpture.
Who We Are
December 14, 2025 – March 8, 2026
Who We Are is a compelling photographic exhibit that celebrates the diversity and individuality of everyday people through an intimate, dual-layered narrative. The work challenges stereotypes and encourages empathy by allowing people to tell their own stories, reminding us that beneath our differences, we all share a common humanity. Through Who We Are, visitors will experience a mosaic of voices and faces that together tell a larger story about identity, resilience, and connection in every day life.
