Family Day: Imagine, Write, Create! at American Mural Project

Spend the day creating together at AMP’s Family Day—designed for all ages, from toddlers to teens. With a mix of hands-on art activities, story time, a kid-friendly tour, and a special drop-in studio just for teens, there’s something for everyone in the family.
Special Interactive Program: Imagine, Write, Create! at 1:30pm
It’s not every day your family gets to play word games with a published children’s book author. Dana Rau brings a fun, hands-on approach to writing and art games, sparking creativity and curiosity. Through a series of imaginative activities, kids will explore storytelling and art—and enjoy the thrill of creating together while making something truly their own.
Dana Rau is the author of more than 350 books for children and a teaching artist with a background in both writing and visual art. She brings a lively, hands-on approach to helping kids express themselves through words, images, and play.
